Aims

The aim is to provide you with knowledge of ADHD to support postgraduates through their course and into the working environment.

Objectives

The objectives for this course are:

  • To understand what ADHD is and how this might affect someone working in a clinical environment.
  • To explore the challenges and strengths of ADHD.
  • To recognise what adjustments are available.
  • To apply this knowledge to support a postgraduate through their course and into the working clinical environment.
Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, you will:

  • Know what ADHD is and be able to explain in your own words
  • Know the difference between the different types of ADHD
  • Identify common strengths and challenges of ADHD
  • Support a postgraduate with confirmed or suspected ADHD through their course and into the clinical working environment
  • Have an awareness of appropriate adjustments for colleagues or students with ADHD
