SubjectSuppoRTT (Supported Return to Training)
DescriptionThis course will be an exploration of how those who take time out of surgical training are supported on their return to the workplace. This includes those who take time out for all reasons, such as research, fellowships, ill health and parental leave. The course will allow the SuppoRTT (Return to Training) team to learn about the current support available for those returning to training and any areas for improvement moving forward. The course will involve time to think and share by considering a number of questions in pairs and small groups. This includes questions about preparation for time out of training, the experience of time out of training and the challenges associated with returning to training. These issues will be considered from the point of view of the doctor in training and the educational supervisor. Your involvement will provide an opportunity for improvement of processes which we hope will improve the experience of returning to training in the future.
