SubjectGP Intending Trainers
DescriptionSuitable for intending trainers to be completed prior to being appointed an associate trainer or prior to submitting an application to become a GP trainer. It is not intended for experienced trainers. This course is only open to prospective GP Trainers who have been accepted onto the trainer pathway. This is one of the mandatory courses that need to be completed. This course will explain the mandatory workplace-based assessments that trainees need to complete and give practical advice on how to undertake these with a GP trainee in practice.

Objectives
  • We will be covering all aspects of WPBA.
  • There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and picking up tips on how to use WPBA effectively and efficiently and how to save time as a Trainer.
  • Share ideas about how to make the most of the assessment tools.
  • There will be an opportunity for benchmarking and how we can ensure Trainees are treated fairly in WPBA.
