Aims

To raise doctors confidence and skills in the appropriate challenge of patients with specific complex problems (on this occasion medically unexplained symptoms)

Objectives
  • To raise the group knowledge base on medically unexplained symptoms in General Practice.
  • To raise the group knowledge base on specific confrontation related consultation skills.
  • To perform and raise the groups specific confrontation skills when consulting with patients who have medically unexplained symptoms.
Learning outcomes
  • Increased knowledge of medically unexplained symptoms.
  • Increased knowledge of confrontation skills.
  • Increased skill through performance of confrontation skills in patients with medically unexplained symptoms.
