DescriptionAs medical educators you will be aware that recently we are seeing many more trainees who suspect they are neurodivergent, or have undergone a screening process which tells them they are. This is often prompted by challenges experienced during training. Our intention is that HEE is able to support all our learners in their educational journey. Coaches can provide an invaluable role alongside our trainees as they explore the information and awareness a new diagnosis brings. For coaches this means ensuring our understanding of neurodiversity is up to date, as well as exploring what is useful to offer in the coaching context. This course will Topics will include executive function, emotional regulation, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, anger management and approaches using a multidisciplinary perspective to draw upon the best possible outcomes for individuals.
Additional information

This one-day workshop will offer coaching strategies and methodologies that work best within the neurodiverse population, and an understanding of the impact of neurodiversity on executive function, self-regulation and self-management skills. Topics will include executive function, emotional regulation, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, anger management and approaches using a multidisciplinary perspective to draw upon the best possible outcomes for individuals.
