Leadership for Doctors and Advanced Clinical Practitioners Early in their careers (FLP-DVH7JAN19)
Availability | Course has taken place |
Subject | Professional Skills |
Description | Leadership training can seem irrelevant to any practitioner early in your career until it is suddenly expected of you – then it all seems “too little too late”. Yet there is a way to learn about leadership using what you do as a matter of routine in training. Want to know more? |
Additional information | The episodic nature of rotation means that doctors experience upheaval and change in personal, professional and systemic circumstances on a regular basis. Advanced practitioners need to need to adjust to a new set of responsibilities, expectations and a new place in the health care system. This one-day course is for doctors early in their training (ST1-4/GPST) and ACPs. It aims to introduce concepts and frameworks that will be of immediate relevance and application and put down foundations for future leadership roles. The course recognizes that these experiences are formative. They also contain the elements of current and future leadership positions that clinicians will increasingly occupy. |
