DescriptionIn light of the increasing diversity of our trainees and the new challenges this can bring to our training work the HEE Y&H Differential Attainment team have created a curriculum to provide support for all trainers.

Aims

This curriculum aims to support your existing work as trainers by;

  • Ensuring all Trainers have the knowledge skills and attitudes required to provide trainee centred training to support all trainees to meet their full potential.
  • Ensuring understanding of the reasons that some trainees need additional support and interventions and what these are.
  • Ensuring Trainers are able to identify and pro-actively manage trainee’s needs early in their training.

It will be delivered in this overview session and there will also be extended knowledge modules (on areas such as neurodiversity and linguistics) available on Blackboard to be accessed as and trainers have interest or need.

This workshop will cover:

  • Background to Differential attainment
  • Understanding why Differential attainment may exist in different trainee groups
  • Tackling differential attainment as a trainer
