| Description | This workshop supports those working in the complex world of healthcare education to spot emerging trends early, respond effectively and help others adapt. |
| Additional information | We are obviously experiencing a lot of disruptive change in the health sector right now. As educators, we need to help the people we’re working with develop their ability to spot the need for change early and respond effectively. We also need to be effective at adapting ourselves. We define adaptive leadership as the mindset, skills and practices that help us respond effectively in the face of a rapidly changing, unpredictable, or unknown environment. Leading well in times like this is not easy. The skills required are very different to those that serve us well in more stable times, and there are several traps that can inhibit us. Fortunately, there are some standout organisations and leaders who can teach us a lot about how to not only survive but thrive in an environment of constant change. Our aim with this session is to help you to become a better adaptive leader yourself, as well as equip you develop these skills in the leaders you work with. This will be a very practical session. Combining facilitator input, reflection on opportunities for you to adapt, and a number of enjoyable exercises which bring the skills to life.
