Developing Effective Leadership Behaviours for Medical Professionals (PSK7JUL26)

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of leadership principles, develop self-awareness through emotional intelligence, and improve team collaboration. The course includes practical exercises and interactive sessions to help you apply leadership skills in your daily practice, fostering a positive impact on patient care and team effectiveness.

This course is only available to doctors in early stage General Practice and Specialty Training within Yorkshire and the Humber.

By focusing on developing effective leadership behaviours and personal development, the course aims to enhance overall professional performance and team effectiveness in a clinical setting.

Develop effective leadership behaviours and adapt them to various situations, including understanding Goleman’s leadership styles, your natural preferences, and strategies for expanding your leadership capabilities.

Enhance self-awareness through emotional intelligence assessments and understand its role in leadership effectiveness.

Create a personalised leadership development plan incorporating insights from emotional intelligence evaluations.

Develop a coaching leadership style to mentor and support team members effectively.

Foster compassionate and inclusive leadership practices to create a positive and supportive work environment.

Improve team dynamics by implementing strategies that foster collaboration, trust, and mutual respect among team members.

Apply negotiation and conflict resolution techniques to address and resolve team disagreements and performance issues.

Cultivate personal resilience and emotional agility to maintain leadership effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
