Aims

To equip senior healthcare educators and professionals with practical strategies and Shapes Toolkit models to manage workload stress, prioritise effectively, and set healthy boundaries, enabling sustainable performance, wellbeing, and confident leadership in high-pressure environments.

Objectives

To help participants recognise and understand the factors that drive overwhelm and excessive workload in senior healthcare roles.

To introduce practical Shapes Toolkit models that support effective prioritisation, boundary setting and healthier ways of working.

To build confidence in having clear, compassionate conversations about limits and expectations, including how to navigate pushback.

Learning outcomes

Identify your main stressors and apply Shapes tools such as the Zone of Power and the Prioritisation Grid to focus on what is most important and within your control.

Set clearer, healthier boundaries by using your human limits as a guide, and recognise the likely consequences of boundary setting.

Respond more calmly and effectively to pushback or expectations from others, using strategies that protect your wellbeing and support sustainable working.
