Pre-read material will be emailed directly to attendees. You must attend one of the ten days between UH Bristol, NBT and Bath. Places are restricted to 35 and early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Aims

The seven workshops will enable doctors to learn and demonstrate learning through peer and faculty assessment at each of the six workshops.

The aim of the course is to provide direct training of required Foundation Clinical Skills. Specific objectives will be to learn, demonstrate learning and, where achievable, demonstrate competency at each workstation.

Objectives

The Clinical Skills day will include small group teaching at a series of workstations includingchest drain management, pleurocentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, suturing, knee aspiration, airways management and use of CPAP/BiPAP.

You will be provided with a work manual with pre-reading, detailed one-to-one tuition on the day, assessment by skilled practitioners and a certificate of attendance.
