| Description | This session will be delivered by Lucy Wearmouth and Sohaib Akhtar. Lucy is Head of Improving Population Health in Kirklees Council. Lucy started her career as a Careers Advisor in Oldham, working with children and young people who had been excluded from school and care leavers. She then moved over to Kirklees and has been working in public health ever since. Lucy manages a range of programme areas in Kirklees – Starting Well, Wider Determinants of Health, Living Well, Safe and Informed Choices and Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Sohaib is a Public Health Registrar with a background in Biomedical Sciences. He graduated in Biomedical Sciences before gaining experience in local government through a graduate programme, followed by roles as a Public Health Practitioner in local authority and an NHS Trust. Sohaib also completed the Master of Public Health at Sheffield University and is currently working at Doncaster Council with a focus on Inclusion Health Groups and Health Protection. | ||
