Aims

This lecture based session will look at Parkinson’s disease, Parkinson’s plus syndromes and the management of these in the acute care setting. Factors to consider when clerking and caring for these patient’s on the wards.

Objectives

To improve knowledge of Parkinson’s disease and its recognition and management.

To look at different factors in clerking a patient with Parkinson’s disease and important points in the management of this patient group.

To learn about different Parkinson’s plus syndromes.
