Aims

The course will provide basic technical skills for the Core Trainees looking to develop interest in Urology.

Objectives

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform circumcision, scrotal exploration, cystoscopy and stenting, suprapubic catheterisation They will have a better understanding of selection of appropriate adjuncts to each procedure.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Describe and choose the appropriate equipment and technique.

• Discuss patient selection, information and preparation for each.

• Describe the risks, results and complications.

• Demonstrate safe and effective basic technique for the above procedures.
