Aims

The course will cover basic technical skills for Core Trainees working in Urology in preparation for Registrar (ST3+) practice.

Objectives

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to perform circumcision, scrotal exploration, cystoscopy and stenting. They will have a better understanding of selection of appropriate adjuncts to each procedure.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Describe and choose the appropriate equipment and technique.

• Discuss patient selection, information and preparation for each.

• Describe the risks, results and complications.

• Demonstrate safe and effective basic technique for the above procedures.
