To provide an overview of the rules and regulations of providing and claiming for ‘Mandatory Services’ within an NHS Dental Contract and the duty of care NHS performers have for their patients

Objectives

Discuss:

  • What treatments are expected to be provided and the rules and regulations associated with claiming for courses of treatment within an NHS contract. 
  • When it is (and is not) appropriate to claim multiple courses of treatment related to ‘Phased treatment planning’ within Clinical Pathways. 
  • The rules and ethics of mixing NHS and Private treatment.
