DescriptionDental Nurses, develop your skill set! This course will teach dental nurses the skills needed to take impressions of patients. Whilst underpinning the theoretical knowledge behind impression taking, delegates will be able to apply what they have learned during practical activities.

Registration begins at 9am

Important Information

Delegates will receive 6 hrs CPD for the day.

Following the course delegates are expected to complete post course work and create a 'record of experience' under supervision of their dentist which should include the taking of 10 sets of impressions (20 individual impressions).

You will have 8 weeks in which to complete the portfolio.

This will equate to a further 2 hours CPD.

Total CPD: 8 hours

All CPD will be awarded by Connect Dental upon completion of the course and portfolio work.

A selection of vegetarian/non vegetarian options will be made available, however please be aware that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, Vegan. We therefore suggest that delegates bring their own food if you have a specialist requirement.

Aims

The aim of this course is to enable registered dental nurses to undertake dental impressions in a wide range of applications including impressions for prosthetics, othodontics, study models and mouth guards.

Objectives
  • Increase delegates knowledge of techniques of impression taking which can be used in surgery
  • Develop understanding if the restorative procedures that require the use of dental impressions
  • Explore materials used for impression taking
