This course is subsidised by Health Education England. The subsidised fee is £65.00 for Dentists. A further discounted fee of £35 is available for Dental technicians and Dental nurses. This fee includes lectures, a sandwich lunch and refreshments.

Places on this course are limited to 18 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 12th August 2019.

Aims
  • To help practitioners improve their knowledge and application of partial and complete removable dentures. It is an interactive session of seminars and case based discussions, covering the contemporary management of partially and completely edentulous patients with removable prostheses.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the event delegates will be able to:

  • Summarise the principles of partial and complete denture design
  • Describe which impression and occlusal registration techniques may be appropriate when managing a removable prosthodontic patient.
  • List the design features of overlay/overdentures.
  • Clinically manage a patient with combination syndrome predictably.
  • Describe the principles of duplicate and immediate denture prosthodontics.
  • Describe the attachment systems of basic implant retained overdentures.
  • Recall that patients with palatal defects can be rehabilitated with obturators and need referral to a specialist centre.
