The course fee for this event is £245.00 per person, which includes: a practical session and consumables, a sandwich lunch and refreshments. Places on this course are limited to 15 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 8th March 2019

Aims

This is a hands-on practical session with the opportunity to practise and develop your surgical skills in a simulated environment.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the theory and practical skills of minor oral surgery
  • Describe the anatomical structures of relevance in oral surgery
  • Assess and manage teeth and roots requiring surgical intervention
  • Discuss the principles of mucoperiosteal flap design and demonstrate safe bone removal, elevator use, and suturing
  • Recognise MOS instruments and understand their uses
  • Demonstrate the principles and clinical application of elevators and luxators
  • Predict and explain how to manage common complications
  • Describe when and how to refer to a specialist practice
