Aims
  • To revisit x-ray production, the key principles of radiation protection and the biological effects of ionising radiation 
  • To review the key elements of IRR17 and IR(ME)R 2017 as they apply to dental radiography, with due regard to the roles and responsibilities of the dental team
  • To discuss the new ‘Guidance Notes for Dental Practitioners on the Safe Use of X-ray Equipment’ to highlight key changes and updates.
