Rory O'Connor MSc Addictions, BA Psychology, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Diploma in Counselling. Rory has worked for approximately 40 years in mental health and addiction and has extensive experience in managing programmes for health professionals, doctors, dentists and veterinary surgeons with mental illness and addictive disorders. Currently Nurse Specialist for the Practitioner Health Programme in London and Clinical Advisor for NHS England who act as commissioners to the Practitioner Health Programme and Clinical Lead for the Dentists’ Health Support Programme.

 

Registration is 09:00 with the educational programme starting at 09:30. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and please email the course tutor/facilitator amanda.evans@hee.nhs.uk if you have any dietary or access requirements at least 1 week prior to the course.  This course finishes at 16:30.

Parking is available at the hospitals main car parks - please allow sufficient change for pay and display machines (£7 4hrs & over) *Please note the parking directly outside the Post Graduate Centre is for Permit holders only. Aims

To raise awareness of addictive and mental health disorders in dentists and the role of the Dentists’ Health Support Programme in supporting dentists with such conditions.
