DescriptionDental professionals working with adults should receive safeguarding adults training every 3 years as a minimum. The aim of this course is to meet this requirement and clarify the roles and responsibilities of the whole dental team in promoting the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults. Delivery of a course that covers the care and safety of vulnerable adults whilst under the provision of dental care. Delegates will listen to a lecture where they will be encouraged to share their own experiences and discuss situations with colleagues, they will watch short video clips and complete a quiz.

  2. Use safeguarding principles to identify signs and indicators of concern, so as to achieve best outcomes for vulnerable adults
  3. Demonstrate use of safeguarding principles to prevent and respond to adult safeguarding concerns

1. To explain adult safeguarding and who is vulnerable

3. To provide information about safeguarding adults concerns and principles, including recurrent themes

4. To explain adult safeguarding legislation
