DescriptionThis course is designed for Registered Dental Nurses who have experience of working with sedated patients using intravenous and relative analgesia sedation. It has been designed with the dental team approach in mind. It provides 6 hours of the 12 hours verifiable CPD that sedation nurses must undertake in a 5 year cycle. The course will increase knowledge of intravenous and relative analgesia sedation techniques, how it affects the patient, and the role of the dental nurse in assisting before, during and after its administration. Course Content Covers: • An overview of the 2015 document • Intravenous and Relative Analgesia Sedation • Patient Monitoring

The Speaker Nikki Rogers teaches DCPs at Bristol Dental Hospital. She is currently Chairperson of the NEBDN Dental Radiography Committee, and a member of the NEBDN panel of examiners. She is the author of several text books for dental nurses, which include conscious sedation, maxillofacial surgery and a questions and answers book for post registration courses.
