DescriptionThis full day course will include: Antimicrobial prescribing and stewardship, record keeping, Health & Safety, the role of guidelines and managing the risk of CQC and GDC conflicts.
Additional information

Registration is 08.45 with the educational programme starting at 09.15.  Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the day (incl. in course fee) course finishes at 16.00.

The ‘Terence Mortimer Post Graduate Centre’, Horton General Hospital can be accessed from its entrance from the Oxford Road, Banbury (if travelling from Banbury Cross towards Oxford turn left shortly after second set of main traffic lights).

Parking is available in the Hospital car park  (please see hospital website for more information on charges). Parking directly outside the Post Grad Centre is for staff/permit holders only.

Aims

To increase learners’ ability to develop strategies to manage risks related to prescribing and stewardship.  Record keeping. Health & Safety guidelines, managing the risk of CQC and GDC conflicts.

Objectives

1. Examine good antibiotic stewardship and appropriate uses in dentistry.

2. Review sensible record keeping and how to dispel some urban myths.

3. Discuss how to avoid close encounters with regulators.
