Specific aims:

1. To prepare performers undertaking Performers List Validation by Experience - and their Educational Supervisors - for the training process.

2. To enable learners to consider reflective practice as a learning tool.

Objectives

1. To provide information and advice on Performers List Validation by Experience training and the training portfolio

2. To discuss personal and professional development planning.

3. To explore how reflective practice can improve experience of care, clinical effectiveness and patient safety.

Learning outcomes

Following this course learners should be able to:

1. Explain the Performers List Validation by Experience training process and summarise the evidence required to demonstrate equivalence against the Professional, Managerial, Clinical and Communication domains of the Foundation Dentist curriculum.

2. Demonstrate recognition of the lifelong learning process.

3. Use reflective practice for training, learning, personal development and self-improvement.
