Lecturer profileI am a dedicated Medical professional with 15 years experience. I am a Consultant Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Consultant in Sheffield and a Honorary Clinical lecturer for the Universities of Plymouth and Sheffield and a visiting lecturer for the University of Bristol. Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology is a sub-specialty which focuses on the taking and interpretation of radiographs. It requires experience in both general practice and hospital settings and encompasses all the dental specialities and general head and neck radiology. Having previously worked in all the dental sub specialities I have experience in periodontology, oral surgery, oral medicine, paediatrics and restorative dentistry.
I am also a Health Education England Return to Work Champion. In this role I help trainees returning to work after a period of absence, mentoring them through the process and helping to ensure they are accessing all available support.
I am in the last year of a masters in NHS Healthcare Leadership and Innovation which helps to navigate and effect my other roles.
In the very little time I have outside work I live in the peak district and have signed up to do the Macmillan Half Marathon. I have young children and enjoy walking, kayaking and camping outside and sewing inside.
