Aims | This online, virtual course aims to provide dental nurses with knowledge and understanding to support the NHS Flexible Commissioning programme in primary care. |
Objectives | The objective of the course is to be able to explain and discuss: The role of the OH Champion Revision on anatomy, caries process and prevention Theory and knowledge of OH education including measuring plaque and applying topical fluoride Importance of effective behaviour change conversations |
Learning outcomes | By the end of the session dental nurses will be able to demonstrate completion in all components of the Flexible Commissioning OH Champion training course. DNs will be able to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to communicate effective oral health advice to patients, measure and record plaque and safely apply fluoride varnish. |
