Aims | This workshop has been developed around the Deanery’s Appraisal Documents for the whole dental team. It aims to familiarise Appraisers and Appraisees with the procedure and work through the skills required to undertake effective appraisals and complete PDPs. It will be very participative. |
Objectives | By the end of the workshop, attendees will: Be familiar with the HEE West Midland Appraisal Documents for the whole dental team and the GDC Enhanced PDP Be clear as to what paperwork needs to be completed and evidence provided, to fulfil the appraisal and PDP requirements Have examined the skills required to carry out appraisals and complete a PDP Explored techniques for providing or gaining more information from the appraisal meeting Have practised the skills required to participate in and/or carry out appraisals and complete a PDP, during the workshop. Learning Outcomes By the end of the workshop, you will: Be familiar with the Appraisal Procedure and Documentation recommended by HEE West Midlands Know what paperwork needs to be completed and evidence provided, to fulfil the appraisal requirements in your Practice, as an appraiser or appraisee Know how to gain more information from the appraisal meeting as an appraiser or appraise Have shared examples of evidence which could be provided under each area of the appraisal Have practised the skills required to participate in and/or carry out appraisals and complete a PDP by appraising other attendees during the workshop. |
