Aims | This workshop aims to help Owners, Dentists and Practice Managers identify and manage the causes of work-related stress in their Practices. Objectives | During the workshop, delegates will: Discuss and clarify what is meant by ‘workplace stress’ Recognise the impact of work-related stress on their employees and the work environment Discuss how the HSE Management Standards Approach can help their Practice manage the causes of work related stress Identify the six areas of work that pose a risk of work related stress as outlined in the HSE Management Standards Explore solutions to addressing these risks Identify how to plan and prepare their Practice to introduce the Management Standards approach Learning Outcomes By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to: Define what the term ‘workplace stress’ means in line with HSE guidance Explain how the HSE Management Standards apply to their Practice and their employees Identify ways of using Practice data and questionnaires to identify the the main causes of stress for their employees Identify where the ‘risks’ are within their Practice and solutions to addressing them Brief and involve their employees in dealing with workplace stress Record their findings and develop action plans |
