Lecturer profileMartin Chan is an NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Leeds Dental Institute (Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust), lead clinician for dental implants and head of department. He has published widely in refereed journals, and is very active in postgraduate training of general dental practitioners, dental core trainees and specialist trainees. He is also a part-time specialist practitioner in a busy referral practice at Specialist Dental Care in Ilkley.

Lecturer profileGraduated from Newcastle in 2006 and moved to Scotland to complete foundation training in Edinburgh. This was followed by SHO jobs in Aberdeen and the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. I completed specialist training in Leeds and was appointed there in October 2014 as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry with a focus on periodontology and developmental anomalies.

Lecturer profilePaul Qualified from Newcastle University in 1989. After several years in general practice and becoming a senior dental officer in the Community Dental Service, Paul began an academic career in 2002 as a lecturer at Leeds. Paul is currently a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in charge of year 4 and a lead role in clinical assessment. Research areas of interest include dental materials and occlusion. Paul lectures regularly on fixed and removable prosthetics, occlusion and endodontics.
