Lecturer profileNav has been a GP for 24 years and is the medical director at Cricket Green Medical Practice. He is a
non-executive director with four NHS Trusts and is the Medical Director for the National Association
of Primary Care. he was one of the originators of the Primary Care Home, advocating cross-system,
multidisciplinary working based on the needs of a local population.
Nav is known as a leading advocate for shaping teams and services around population health needs
having published multiple publications and given many conference talks on the subject in the UK and
internationally. Nav was a senior clinical advisor for workforce transformation for NHS England
advising the team responsible for implementing the new models of care outlined in the Five
Year Forward View. He was also a member of the New Care Models Board. Nav was instrumental in
setting up Merton Clinical Commissioning Group in the 2013 NHS reforms.
He developed the concept of collaborative education and training networks in primary and
community care to develop the workforce and multidisciplinary skill mix to improve population
health outcomes.

Lecturer profileAndy is an experienced facilitator, team coach and change leader. He has more than 30 years of
experience facilitating change across both public, and private sectors. He works with teams,
organisations and systems, to help them cut through complexity to find clarity, common ground and
solutions, and to be the best they can be. His focus for the last 20 years, has been on the health
sector, but he also has extensive experience of working with charities, public transport and
manufacturing. Andy has run his own advisory business for the last ten years and works closely with
the National Health Service. Prior to that he led the health care practice for PA Consulting Group.
Much of his work over the last six years has been with multidisciplinary teams in local communities
to help them improve population health outcomes.
