| Lecturer name | Chris Pollock |
| Lecturer profile | Since 2000 I have exclusively used Friedberg’s PK ( propofol , ketamine) technique for moderate sedation along with regional LA blockade in preference to a standard GA for oncoplastic breast surgery(>5000 cases, 600 of whom with BIS monitoring) . From 2006 I have provided Monitored Anaesthetic Care for Special Care Dentistry in a community based facility within the City Health Care Partnership : again my preferred sedative is a propofol- ketamine mixture ( about 2000 cases: 1/3 with significant learning impairment, and 2% with brittle cardio-respiratory physiology ). For the last 27 years, my white mop has graced the ranks of the ‘cellists in the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra.
