Lecturer profile | Kate qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2006, winning the Dental Council Prize in Child Dental Health. She did Vocational Training for one year prior to taking up a post in the Community Dental Services and as an Associate in Private Practice in Dublin. She then returned to the Dublin Dental Hospital and spent a year as Senior House Officer in Paediatric Dentistry. Following this Kate moved to Leeds to undertake the Professional Doctorate Programme in Paediatric Dentistry, completing her thesis in the field of dental trauma. She finished her specialist NTN training in 2014 and subsequently was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry. She has continued her work in the field of dental trauma, developing a Core Outcome Set for Traumatic Dental Injuries with Peter Day, for which she was awarded the Jens Andreasen Prize for best trauma presentation at the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry Conference, 2015 |
