Aims

The course will develop skills in assessment of teeth prior to dental extractions, the complications that may occur and how each complication may be managed.

The course will also develop theoretical and practical skills in dento-alveolar surgery

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Assess clinically and radiologically teeth requiring simple forceps extraction
  • Assess those teeth which may require surgical removal or referral to specialist
  • Assess the common postoperative problems and how to mamage them
