To comprehensively discuss the aetiology and management principles of a patient presenting with toothwear, with a particular emphasis on composite resin.

Objectives

Appreciate the aetiology and different options available to manage tooth surface loss.

Understand the evidence base which underpins the restorative management of toothwear patients.

Describe how a worn dentition can be rehabilitated with direct composite, indirect fixed restorations and removeable overlay/overdentures.
