Aims

To bring both new and experienced trainers up to date in the changing role of being an educational supervisor for newly qualified dentists and to consider the impact of Satisfactory Completion and organisational change in Dental Foundation Training.

Objectives

At the end of the session the delegates will be able to:-

  • Understand the new Satisfactory Completion and RCP process
  • Be aware of the changes to the ePDP and trainers responsibilities with regards to this
  • Be aware of the worries and concerns a Foundation Dentist may have during the training year
  • Understand the concept of Quality Assurance as it relates to DFT; how itcan be applied across the trainer and practice application process
