Aims

This course will provide the opportunity for delegates to increase their theoretical knowledge of critical appraisal/evidence-based practice and gain practical experience of reviewing clinical papers. The presenter will discuss different reseach/study methodologies and how to understand and interpret the results.

Objectives

After the course, participants will:

  • Have an increased understanding of evidence-based dentistry and medicine, including methodologies and analyses of studies
  • Be prepared to sit the Critical Appraisal component of the ISFE and other examinations
