Aims
  • To understand the common uses and indications of anti-resorptive drugs
  • To understand the mechanism of action of these drugs
  • To understand the dental implications of drug therapy
Objectives

By the end of the lecture attendees should:

  • Be able to recognise commonly prescribed anti-resorptive drugs
  • Be able to understand the relative risk of BRONJ for each family of drugs
  • Be able to safely plan dental intervention in these patients
  • Understand how to recognise BRONJ and basic principles of treatment
