| Description | Essential training for the entire dental team in safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults |
| Additional information | Marion’s areas of specialist knowledge include: safeguarding children; all aspects of childcare and children’s services; Primary care; supervision and multi-agency working. Her background is as a Health Visitor and more recently as the Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children within a large metropolitan borough (14 years) where she was responsible, with the Designated Doctor, for all aspects of safeguarding children within the health community. A member of the local Safeguarding children board and chair of the learning and development sub group (10 years). In this role Marion was responsible for the development and delivery of multi-agency safeguarding strategies and training programmes. She has wide experience as a panel member of multi-agency serious case reviews with responsibility for implementing subsequent recommendations. Marion continues to practice within the NHS as the Named Safeguarding Professional for General Practitioners and independent contractors in Bassetlaw. |
