DescriptionDental Sedation Peer Review - This 3 hour session run by the Regional Dental Sedation Peer Review Group is designed to bring sedationists together to promote discussion and learning.
Additional information

Please bring 2 cases that will stimulate discussion e.g. a case where you need advice from colleagues, a case which you have learnt from or a case you feel would be interesting to others/ others would learn from. In addition please feel free to raise any discussion topics you feel may be relevant below. Please indicate when applying what type of sedation you do (IV, IS etc).

Although all sedationists are welcome the course may be best suited to intravenous practitioners.

Aims
  • To update delegates on current guidelines and sedation related issues
  • To promote discussion among sedationists regarding sedation issues
  • To encourage practitioners to update and learn from others experiences
  • To increase awareness of the different cases that can be treated under sedation
  • To increase awareness of adverse incidents which can occur under sedation and their management
Objectives
  • Attendees to feel up to date on current guidelines and sedation related issues
  • Attendees to have gained advice, knowledge and support from the group
  • Attendees to go back to their place of work and implement what they have learnt at the session to improve patient care and safety
