Aims

The course will cover the theory and practical aspects of treating caries in the primary dentition as well as treatment planning of more complex cases.

The following techniques will be discussed together with practical exercises in the lab:rubber dam and local anaesthetic

  • pulpotomy techniques and medicaments
  • stainless steel crowns (including conventional and Hall techniques)
  • Treatment planning
Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Feel more confident in treating children and using techniques that will provide successful outcomes in the primary dentition.
  • Feel more confident in formulating treatment plans for children with multiple carious teeth
