Aims

To facilitate effective working relationships between Dental Nurses, Practice Managers and Early Years Dentists/Therapists during the foundation training year.

Objectives

During the event dental nurses will have the opportunity to:

· Examine the foundation year training and describe their specific involvement within the scope of practice when supporting these dental professionals

· Explore the importance of early engagement and discuss key factors supporting this

Discover how to respond effectively to difficult situations and demonstrate how to provide feedback to empower autonomous reflective learning

After this course delegates will be able to:

1. Support the Early Years Dentist/Therapist by enhancing a collaborative team working approach to person centred care

2. Gain deeper insight and understanding of the Early Years training year

3. Apply the learning within dental nurse scope of practice
