Aims

This course will cover the practical and theoretical aspects of clinical photography in dental practice.

Objectives
  • Discuss the use of dental clinical photography within general practice.
  • Understand the settings required for different views in dental photography.
  • Be able to practice technique and take both intra oral and extra oral photographs.
Learning outcomes

At the end of the course all participants should be able to:

  • List the equipment and accessories required to take clinical photographs.
  • Discuss the consent and storage processes for clinical images.
  • Describe the appropriate camera settings.
  • Demonstrate how to take the standard intra oral and extra oral views.
