Aims

To provide an update on modern techniques for root canal preparation and obturation and give participants a chance to practice different techniques before trying their new skills in practice

Objectives
  1. To discuss case pre-selection for techniques including hand instrumentation, wave one, pro-taper.
  2. To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of cold lateral compaction and heated techniques.
  3. To demonstrate the correct application of the above techniques through the use of real patient cases
Learning outcomes
  1. Apply knowledge to correctly select those endodontic cases with which modern preparation and obturation techniques can be applied.
  2. Plan endodontic procedures with an understanding of the limitations of each technique.
