Aims

To explore the diagnosis and management of children with complex medical and dental needs through interactive, case-based discussions.

Objectives
  • Engage in discussion of multiple complex paediatric case scenarios. 
  • Develop diagnosis and treatment plans, considering a range of management options including LA, IHS, and GA.
  • Understand appropriate referral pathways and criteria for specialist care.
Learning outcomes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses for children presenting with complex medical and/or dental needs.
  • Develop and justify appropriate treatment options across a range of paediatric clinical scenarios.
  • Demonstrate confidence in discussing, with reference to current evidence, the relative merits of different treatment approaches for complex paediatric dental cases requiring multidisciplinary input.
