Aims

To deepen understanding and enhance clinical knowledge in the recognition and management of dental anomalies and inherited dental conditions in paediatric patients.

Objectives
  • Demonstrate an enhanced understanding of the causes and prevalence of dental anomalies and inherited dental conditions
  • Apply improved diagnostic skills to identify a range of dental anomalies in paediatric patients
  • Describe and evaluate appropriate management approaches and recognise common challenges in treating these patients.
Learning outcomes
  • Identify common dental anomalies in children, including hypomineralisation, amelogenesis imperfecta, and dentinogenesis imperfecta
  • Apply diagnostic skills to recognise and assess these conditions
  • Confidently determine appropriate management strategies and recognise when referral for specialist care is required.
