To present a summary of the current evidence-base regarding ADHD in children and adults

Objectives
  • To promote awareness and acceptance of ADHD by enhancing understanding of the condition as a whole.
  • To identify potential barriers to dental care for patients with ADHD and explore how our profession can work to reduce or eliminate these obstacles.
  • To consider the measures necessary to foster equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workplace.
Learning outcomes
  • Participants will be able to describe the key characteristics and challenges associated with ADHD in both children and adults.
  • Participants will be able to identify common barriers to dental care for patients with ADHD and be aware of strategies to address these obstacles.
