Aims | To support professionals to develop a greater understanding of radiographic interpretation, focusing on periodontal disease and caries. |
Objectives | The course will: • Discuss diagnosing periodontal disease and problems associated with imaging periodontal tissues. • Describe how to identify and diagnose all stages of caries. • Explain how to diagnose simple periapical lesions and reporting of them and be able to make straightforward recommendations. |
Learning outcomes | By the end of the course the participant will be able to: Apply new knowledge to support diagnosing periodontal disease, the various stages of caries, and simple periapical lesions. Analyse images, report findings, and make appropriate recommendations in line with current guidelines. |
