Aims

Identify the environmental impact of oral healthcare & highlight how the end user (profession, patient & consumer) can positively affect this through collaboration & the pursuit of good oral health

Objectives

By the end of this presentation, you will have: 1 An increased awareness that oral healthcare has a significant environmental impact. 2 An understanding of practical steps to engage in environmentally sustainable oral healthcare provision. 3 An example of the impact that good oral healthcare can have on the lifetime carbon footprint of a dental patient’s care. 4 Ideas of what the dental team can do.
