Aims

This course will discuss modern minimally invasive techniques to manage missing, discoloured and malformed anterior teeth and provide hands on experience building up anterior teeth using a layering technique.

Objectives

· To discuss the assessment of anterior teeth and suitable management strategies · To discuss microabrasion, teeth whitening, resin infiltration techniques, composite bonding and polishing systems · to demonstrate how to produce successful build ups optimising shape and appearance · To discuss resin retained bridges and the key design features required for optimum success

Learning outcomes

· Have an understanding of when tooth whitening, microabrasion and resin infiltration techniques are appropriate · To plan and undertake composite bonding to optimise the size and shape of anterior teeth and optimise aesthetic outcomes · Understand how to design resin retained bridges to optimise their clinical success
